Huron Valley State Bank Employees Provided Five Thanksgiving Food Baskets to Local Families

Employees at Huron Valley State Bank donated items to fill large Thanksgiving baskets with all the fixings for five families in the community.  In early November, the bank kicked off its annual food drive collecting canned, non-perishable food items, fresh potatoes, and pumpkin pies at both of its branches and financial center. The Bank topped off each food basket by providing a voucher for a turkey at The Village Butcher.

Huron Valley State Bank Employees Complete CPR AED Training

Each year, more than more than 350,000 people in the United States experience a cardiac arrest outside of a hospital, according to the American Heart Association. Unless cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is performed and an automated external defibrillator (AED) is used to shock the heart, a person can die within minutes.

Earlier this month twelve employees of Huron Valley State Bank completed CPR and AED training. The training was conducted by Amy Goan, Assistant Chief of the Milford Fire Department.  Employees had to complete an online segment prior to the hands-on class for certification. 
 

Huron Valley State Bank Announces the Partnership with Kurtz Elementary School

Huron Valley State Bank is pleased to announce the partnership with Kurtz Elementary School for the “Bank at School” program. The bank opened for business on Wednesday, March 20 after a ceremonial Ribbon Cutting at 9:15 am, and will operate the third Wednesday of the month.  This is the fifth elementary school partnership for Huron Valley State Bank.

Casual for a Cause Program Raises over $1,600

Once a month, Huron Valley State Bank holds a special Casual for a Cause (Jean’s Day).  This program allows employees to wear jeans in exchange for providing a donation for the designated charitable cause.  The causes are either for an individual in need or a large-scale community program.  In 2018, the Casual for A Cause program raised over $1,600.
