Huron Valley State Bank's "Casual for A Cause" program is an employee driven fundraiser for community donations. Employees can wear casual clothes, including jeans, on the last Friday of every month in exchange for making a donation in the denomination of their choice.

In 2013, over $1,200 was raised from this program. Giving back to various organizations, special memorial funds, and personal families in need, including: YMCA Strong Kids, Relay for Life, Community Sharing, Special Olympics, and more.

In conjunction with YMCA's Earth Friendly Family Fun Festival, Huron Valley State Bank is sponsoring the community shredding program on April 27, from 12:00-4:00 pm, at the Carl's Family YMCA at 300 Family Drive, Milford.

Following the end of tax season, employees of the bank will be on site to assist participants with shredding needs. Oakland County residents can bring up to six boxes (12 inch by 24 inch) or large kitchen sized garbage bags at no charge. Large metal clips and spiral bindings should be removed in advance.
