Huron Valley State Bank and Spring Mills Elementary Celebrate the "Bank At School Partnership

Milford, MI, April 2014 – Huron Valley State Bank's "Casual for A Cause" program is an employee driven fundraiser for community donations. Employees can wear casual clothes, including jeans, on the last Friday of every month in exchange for making a donation in the denomination of their choice.

In 2013, over $1,200 was raised from this program. Giving back to various organizations, special memorial funds, and personal families in need, including: YMCA Strong Kids, Relay for Life, Community Sharing, Special Olympics, and more.

"This is another testament to culture of community involvement at Huron Valley State Bank," said Jack Shubitowski, President and CEO, "This is completely employee driven, from selecting the charity, to making donations to help others in need."

Year to date, over $467.77 has been raised for three causes including: Freedom Works, YMCA Strong Kids and one of the bank's customers who is suffering from illness.
