Huron Valley State Bank’s Milford Branch Hosts Document Shredding Event Saturday

Saturday, April 25th, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Huron Valley State Bank is inviting the community to the Milford Branch located at 130 S. Milford Road, Milford on Saturday, April 25th, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Individuals and local businesses are encouraged to bring up to four banker boxes of confidential documents for safe and secure on-site shredding, free of charge. Please note that shredding is available until truck capacity is reached.

All the documents will be shredded securely by Shred Legal, an on-site document shredding and recycling company. The shredding takes place inside a secure area within the truck and there is a camera to watch the shredding as it takes place. The shredded materials are then recycled and reused to manufacture household paper products.

Huron Valley State Bank is also collecting small electronics through a partnership with the Detroit Zoo and Eco-Cell. Recycling these devices helps reduce environmental impact, and the proceeds support conservation efforts for gorillas at the zoo. Accepted items include cell phones, iPads or tablets, iPods or MP3 players, GPS devices, smart watches, AirPods or earbuds, VR headsets, digital cameras, and cords. Please ensure all devices have been wiped clean of personal data before donating. Not accepted: laptops, light bulbs, smoke detectors, or appliances containing freon.

In addition, the bank is collecting gently used art supplies on behalf of the Suzanne Haskew Arts Center and Main Street Art in support of the Earth Day Art Supply Swap. Donations help give art materials a second life while supporting local artists, students, and creative programs in the community. If you have gently used art supplies at home, consider donating and helping make art more accessible for everyone.

The location for shredding is as follows:

Milford – 130 South Milford Road, Milford, MI 48381
There will be another document shredding day at the Highland Branch in the fall on October 17th
