“Sue Vanderwill is a well known and respected figure in both banking and the community.  I have served with her on the Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce for many years, and can attest that she embraces the values of service and giving back to the community.  Combining that with her extensive background and experience, Huron Valley State Bank is fortunate to have her leading our branches and retail operations,” said Jack Shubitowski, President and CEO of Huron Valley State Bank.

"I am very excited to join the Huron Valley State Bank team. I've always admired the bank's commitment to Milford, White Lake, Highland and Commerce. Whether it be parades, schools, concerts, chambers, networking groups, events all across the valley, the HVSB staff members are everywhere, all the time! I am so happy to be part of a local, community bank that offers big bank products and services with the home town spirit. Being with HVSB will allow me to combine my love for banking with my love for my community. It's the perfect fit for me. I'm honored to be here and excited to get started in my new position,” stated Vanderwill.

For the Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce, Vanderwill is President Elect (2019 President), Chair of the Governmental Affairs, Co-Chair of the Programs Committee, and participates on various other special programs.  She is also an active member of the White Lake Historical Society, where she volunteers as the newsletter editor and events team member.
