Huron Valley State Bank Marks a Decade of Giving Back This Thanksgiving

Milford, MI, December 2025 – For the 11th consecutive year, Huron Valley State Bank continued its tradition of supporting local families during the Thanksgiving season. The bank once again hosted its annual Thanksgiving food drive, collecting canned and boxed non-perishable goods, along with fresh potatoes, butter, and pumpkin pies at both branch locations and the Financial Center.

This year, the team assembled five Thanksgiving baskets, filled with holiday essentials and accompanied by turkey vouchers purchased by the bank for The Village Butcher. These baskets were donated to families throughout the community.

This year the bank partnered with the Milford Rotary Club which provided three additional baskets, filled with non-perishable goods and backed by another generous voucher to the Village Butcher. As a result, eight families were supported.

Reflecting on the continued impact of the initiative, Jack Shubitowski, President and CEO, shared, “Reaching our 11th year of this meaningful tradition speaks volumes about the dedication and giving spirit of our team. Their commitment to serving our community remains as strong as ever, and it’s truly inspiring to watch this program continue to grow.”

Program organizer Susan Bowen, Vice President of Mortgage Lending, added, “Each year, our staff shows tremendous heart in ensuring local families feel supported during the holiday season. Knowing we’ve carried this effort forward for 11 years makes it even more rewarding. It’s a privilege to be part of something that brings comfort and care to our neighbors.”
