Huron Valley State Bank Employees Provided Five Thanksgiving Food Baskets to Local Families

Employees at Huron Valley State Bank donated food items to fill Thanksgiving baskets with all the fixings for five families in the community.  In early November, the bank announced its annual food drive collecting over four hundred items of canned or boxed non-perishable food items, fresh potatoes, butter, and pumpkin pies at both branches and financial center. The Bank topped off each food basket by providing a voucher for a turkey at The Village Butcher.

“This program is driven entirely by the employees under the direction of Sue Bowen.  Our staff recognizes the need in our community, and they open their hearts to provide an overwhelming amount of food to support this program.  Each of the families received a basket full of food for not only a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, but also enough non-perishable food items to last for a couple of weeks,” said Jack Shubitowski, President and CEO.

“We have been providing Thanksgiving dinners to families in our community since 2014. Each year this program has grown with a larger quantity donations.  I am so proud to work at a place that takes pride in helping others and giving back to the community,” said Susan Bowen, Vice President of Mortgage Lending.
