Huron Valley State Bank Announces the Appointment of Joseph Ohmer, Chief Financial Officer
Huron Valley State Bank announced the appointment of Joseph Ohmer to Vice President, Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Ohmer has over 22 years of finance and accounting experience and has extensive knowledge in restricted funds, analysis, asset/liability management, budgeting, costing, forecasting and profitability reporting.
Mr. Ohmer began his career as a staff accountant at Michcon and two years later accepted a position at Henry Ford Health System as a Financial Analyst. Within three years he was promoted to Senior Financial Analyst. Shortly thereafter was promoted to Manager of Fund Accounting. He was once again promoted to the Director of Fund Accounting which he served in that capacity until joining the executive team at Huron Valley State Bank.

Mr. Ohmer earned his Master of Science in Finance from Walsh College and has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from Eastern Michigan University. He also has a minor in psychology. In addition, he serves as Treasurer of the Eastside Community Network and Treasurer of Pack 52 Cub Scouts.
Mr. Ohmer lives in Milford with his wife Leah and their seven-year-old son Jackson. He enjoys reading, playing catch with his son, travelling and spending time with family.
